Inflating news

Nowadays, Karl Valentin would be considered a great comedian. Living in the first half of the 20th century, he was not only contemporary of Karl Krauss and Bertold Brecht, but Brecht also casted him for his 1923 commedy movie "Mysteries of a hairdresser shop".
It seems that already at those times, the news media suffered from the same gossiping business as it is common today, when everybody just repeats in his news channel or journal or internet blog what they have heard or read somewhere else. The best description of this inflationary repetition of the same issue or opinion again and again was given by Karl Valentin.  He mentioned that

"On this subject, everything has already been said. But not by everyone."
